Coating repair

Polyurethane coatings for valves and complex parts

Where tape is hard to lay, on valves, gate valves, tees and ground-to-air transitions, we have used polyurethane-resin materials since 2014.

Work stages

  1. 01

    Surface preparation

The surface is prepared by abrasive blasting; on this base the coating meets the requirements in force.

  2. 02

    Preparing the components

The coating components are prepared for application immediately before work.

  3. 03

    Applying the compound

The protective coating compound is applied to the prepared surface.

  4. 04

    Quality control

The laboratory checks the coating for thickness, adhesion, continuity and appearance.

Questions and answers

Why not use tape on valves?

Practice has shown that on tees, and especially on valves and gate valves, bitumen-polymer tape is not always suitable and is hard to apply. Polyurethane materials are used on such parts instead.

How is the surface prepared?

By abrasive blasting. A coating applied to such a surface meets the requirements of the legislation in force.
